What I'm up to...

My memoir, "Leaving Tinkertown,"published by the University of New Mexico Press is the recipient of the Sarton Memoir Award, the New Mexico-Arizona Book Award for Best Book, Best First Book and Best New Mexico Biography and the 2015 New Mexico Press Womens' Zia Book Award.

My work has appeared in numerous publications, including the Los Angeles Times, the Orange County Register, OC Parent, Luxe Magazine, Coast Magazine, Panorama: the Journal of Intelligent Travel, Fourth River, Huffington Post, Brain, Child, Perceptions: A Magazine of the Arts, Alligator Juniper, the anthologies "Cup of Comfort for Courage," "Cup of Comfort for a Better World," "My Teacher is My Hero: Tributes to the People Who Gave us Knowledge, Motivation and Wisdom" and "Cup of Comfort for Families Touched by Alzheimers"
